I think in some respects, chaos can be good. I mean without it we wouldn’t have adventures. Even planned adventures involve a little chaos. And it’s where the best stories come from. Now, whether you agree is entirely up to you but as someone who thrives on doing the thing even when it’s scary, even when I don’t really want to, I think chaos plays a very important role in my life. There are days like today though where I’d say there was a bit too much chaos. It was a crazy day at work and I immediately jumped on a flight after. I’ve been running wide open for 16 hours. Not my version of a fun day, but I know that the next couple days, on my mini vacation it’ll be worth it. I don’t have to stress about going back to work that got left unfinished and I can just be in the moment. There will most definitely be some chaos this weekend, it’s a holiday, but it’ll be the fun kind. It’ll be the kind I tell stories about later. The tough part of today will fade into the background of my life over time but the things I do this weekend I’ll probably remember for a lifetime. That said, happy Independence Day. If you’re going to be chaotic this weekend, let’s shoot for chaos of the safe variety.
